I’ve been fortunate to work with some brilliant, fun, creative people in my various projects, some of whom have been nice enough to share some kind words:
“Jen is very bright. She's a 'big thinker' -- passionate and idealistic -- and thereby, a great candidate for sustainability positions.”
- Tish Lascelle, Senior Director of EHS Strategy and Assurance, Johnson & Johnson
“Jen is someone who really believes that she can change the world, which is good, because she has the know-how, the passion and the creativity to make that happen. She sees the big picture, but doesn't lose sight of all of the details that make things happen. Working with her was stimulating, challenging and enjoyable.”
- Annette Russo, Manager, Communications and Training, Johnson & Johnson
“Jen is a focused, self starter who initiates solutions. While working with her on O,R&L Construction's green building strategy, Jen took the lead in developing a helpful analysis based on her research. She produced for us a benchmark on which to measure our green building capabilities. It was a pleasure working with Jen. I'm sure her exceptional communication skills will bring her much success in the future.”
- Tanya Cutolo, Director of Design and Business Development, O, R&L Construction
“I am the founder of a sustainable apparel company, Playback. Jen volunteered with another student to do
a Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) of our Recycled sweatshirts in exchange for not taking their final exam. The
project ended up being over triple the work of a final but Jen and her classmate persevered with great enthusiasm, effort and thoroughness. She is now currently doing some freelance projects for my company
and her great work continues.
When I first met her what struck me was her great passion and integrity regarding sustainability. I do not
think this is just a career choice for her...but really a mission and a way of being that she lives by.
She has taught me a lot about sustainability regarding apparel. While all other "eco" apparel makers think
only about whether they can label it "organic" or "bamboo" , she has taught us that there are way more
variables to this complex equation..(transportation/dying/waste-among others)..She has looked at our manufacturing process realistically, knowing there are cost and style limitations, and suggested processes
that we have adopted that have actually saved cost and increased our sustainability.
She is very responsible. All projects and commitments she makes are kept. If I or my staff forget to
follow through she makes sure we do. She is a self starter and quite independent. All work she completes
is done with the utmost accuracy and completeness. She is also very motivated and hard working. I feel
fortunate that she volunteered for our project almost two years ago. She has made our company and
brand better. We hope to use her consultation services whenever projects arise. I am convinced that
anyone working with her in the future will have the same results.”
